Mubasher: Credit Agricole achieved an increase of 3.2% in net profit to EUR 1.10 billion ($1.26 billion) during the third quarter of 2018, the bank said on Wednesday.
Excluding exceptional items, Credit Agricole’s net income grew by 17% year-on-year to EUR 1.13 billion in Q3-18; the highest level of third-quarter underlying net income since the financial crisis.
Credit Agricole, France's second-largest listed bank by assets, achieved a rise of 5% in revenues to EUR4.80 billion.
Analysts have expected a net profit of EUR 1.06 billion on revenue of EUR 4.84 billion, according to a consensus estimate by FactSet.
The bank achieved "organic growth in all of its business lines," CEO Philippe Brassac said.
